Since 1983, the Rainbow Senior Center has offered programs and services that encourage adults in our community to take an active role in maintaining their physical and mental health as they age. Now with your help, a new, significantly larger, center will be constructed to serve the citizens of Kendall County and the greater Boerne area. The RSC will soon be known as KRONKOSKY PLACE. The new center will be for your parents, your friends, your family and YOU !!
KRONKOSKY PLACE will be a 30,000 square foot activity/ nutritional center open to
anyone over 55 in our community.
KRONKOSKY PLACE will be located on a 5.8 acre site at #17 Old San Antonio Road in Boerne, TX.
OUR PROGRESS

KRONKOSKY PLACE will offer:
●An exercise facility designed for older
adults
●A technology classroom for continuing education classes, including computer literacy
●A health/wellness resource center dedicated to encouraging healthy aging.
●On-site meals served Monday through Friday at lunchtime.
●Local transportation service for members who are no longer able to drive.
●Home-delivery of meals to qualified area shut-ins through the Meals-on-Wheels program.
●Opportunities for meaningful volunteer work.
●A separate event center available for rent.
KRONKOSKY PLACE will provide the space and flexibility to meet the needs of our com- munity in the years to come, and the site will provide ample room for expansion. The current site of the RSC is too small to expand the existing building and provide adequate off-street parking. Additional adjacent property is not available.
KRONKOSKY PLACE will be named in honor of Albert and Bessie Mae Kronkosky of Boerne, TX. Longtime residents of the community, they established the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation of San Antonio in 1991. The foundation has chosen the new center as their namesake project for Kendall County, and has provided a $4.5 million dollar grant for its construction.
Join us as we build for the future and continue to legacy of the Rainbow Senior Center.
