WELCOME TO THE RAINBOW SENIOR CENTER

The Rainbow Senior Center (RSC), which was founded in 1983 , is a non-profit community based organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for those 60 years of age and older in Kendall County and the greater Boerne area. Our doors are open to anyone over 60 in the community regardless of their race, religion, ethnic background, gender or income level.

The Center, which is located at 745 West San Antonio Avenue in Boerne, Texas , is a day-time activity center and is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 2 PM.

Each day the Center is filled with active senior adults. They enjoy a wide variety of programs and activities that are designed to promote healthy aging through good nutrition and social interaction, and to help them maintain their independence.

Current Programs:
•  The RSC Nutritional Programs, which include both our on-site congregate lunch program and the Kendall County Meals-on-Wheels Program

•  The RSC Transportation Program, which provides area transportation to our members who are no longer able to drive.

•  The RSC Activity Program, which offers members the opportunity for daily social interaction with their peers in a safe, friendly setting.

•  The RSC Health/ Wellness Resource Program, which offers monthly blood pressure checks, informational seminars, a heath-care resource library and area contacts for support services.

On an average day, over 200 senior adults benefit from our programs and activities. We are an active bunch; but there is also a place for you if you want to come for a cup of coffee and some conversation. If you are over 60 and have not discovered THE place for the ‘in-crowd' to gather, you need to come visit us. Remember: We offer a senior citizen discount every day !

RSC MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Rainbow Senior Center is to coordinate or provide information services, resources and activities that will enrich and facilitate the independent living and quality of life for its clients. These potential clients are the citizens who are 1) age 60 or older, or otherwise eligible for home delivered meals, and 2) reside in Kendall County and the greater Boerne area.
